Native – Gifting a 3x3M Square of Rainforest to all Attendees
This year, at COM2, along with our commitment to our Can Marketing Save the Planet In vestment Fund with Pinwheel, Can Marketing Save the Planet also partnered with Native.
Founded by Rob Cobbold, Native helps you protect the planet and support indigenous communities with transparency and accuracy. They offer people and organisations the chance to protect and restore 3x3m Squares of the world’s most precious and biodiverse ecosystems under threat from human activity, including rainforest, mangroves, corals and more.
As part of our impact commitments, each participant at COM2 was gifted with a ‘Square’ of rainforest, and a login to the Native Squared platform enabling them to visually see their plot and hopefully, grow it, to protect even more.
Native has secured 60,000 hectares of pristine rainforest in the Pacific region with an imminent risk of logging, a high density of endemic species, and indigenous communities who have stewarded the forest for generations. And they also have mangrove restoration projects underway in Philippines and Tanzania, and are scoping further projects in the Amazon and the Pacific.
At COM3, we’ll be able to report back on collective impact of this gift.
Far better than a ‘goody bag’, right?
If you too are thinking of ways to create more meaningful engagement with your team or audiences and want to align it with making a positive impact on nature and the planet, then get in touch with NativeSquared.com.
The COM2 Summary Report will be published shortly, where you can find out more about how the COM Impact Commitments are making a difference to nature.
